Albert Nero Jr., affectionately known as, Shoney was born on May 18, 1944 to the union of Bertha and Albert Nero, Sr. Albert was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, one brother, Victor, one sister, Shirley and son, Steven.
Albert went by many names: Bozo, Red, Slick, Pops and Shoney. He made sure he always kept in contact with all of his family near and far. He had a love for old
school music such as: Al Green, The Temptations, The Delfonics and Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, just to name a few.
He worked for Chicago Housing Authority for over 25 years until he retired. Shoney had a passion for fishing and boating. He enjoyed spending his leisure
time in Michigan with his brother Victor’ uncles, Otis and Will and his cousin, Bill.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories five children: Derrick (Charmaine) Farmer, Regina Farmer, Lorrie Burage and son-in-law Michael Burage, Janice Robinson
and Jermaine Nero; ten grandchildren, Antwain (Frances) Farmer, Kenneth Farmer, Revina Robinson, Quintella Greene, Derrick Farmer Jr., Michael Dion Burage Jr., Myka Burage, Derrick Nero, Adrianna Nero and Jermaine Nero Jr.; six great grandchildren: Darius Gardner, Darianna Gardner, Alexus Johnson, Kenya Farmer, Trinity Farmer and Jaevon Hallom; six siblings: Gloria Smith Nero, David (Victoria) Nero, Debbie Haywood, Lillian Nero, Eddie Nero, Rosemary Clay. Close and loving cousins who all grew up together: Robert (Lydia) Haritos, William (Dorothy) Haritos and Marla Haritos. A loving & caring niece, Gennell Nero, sister-in-law and friend, Sue Nero.
