Calvin Ronald Williams was born on September 11, 1953 at Joliet, Illinois the 5th of 9 children from the union of James and Colena Williams. He experienced death after failing health on Monday October 29, 2018.
Calvin was a lifelong resident of Joliet and attended Joliet Public schools K-12th grade and graduated from Joliet West High School. He worked various jobs and retired from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet.
At an early age Calvin acknowledged Christ. He was baptized In Jesus' Name at Bethlehem Healing Temple Apostolic Church, 800 Princeton Avenue, Lockport, Illinois by the late Elder William Elsy.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father James Charles Williams, brother Charles Williams, sister Mary Ann Williams Beavers, and son Calvin Ronald Williams, Jr.
He leaves to mourn his death and cherish his memories: his mother Colena Williams, 2 children Cory Shelby-Williams and Cora Shelby-Williams, 1 brother Arthur Williams, 5 sisters Tecola (JE) Moore, Glinda Cornelius, Denise Williams, Brenda Kay Williams andAnita DeLoach. Two special cousins: Eddie Anderson and Johnnie Mae Williams, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calvin was a kind and compassionate person who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Those who knew him well affectionately referred to him simply as "Calbo". He touched many lives and will be greatly missed and remembered.
