Demarques M. Heard

Demarques Michael Heard, affectionately known as "D.Heard" was born June 11, 1991 to the union of Thomas and Renee Heard.

Demarques found Christ at the tender age of five and was baptized at New Faith M.B. Church.  He was very active in the life of the church, serving in the media ministry as a videographer and Sunday School where he assisted his cousin Andrea with classes.  Demarques was an excellent student, eager to learn new things in and out of the classroom.  He was adventurous, outgoing and could make anyone laugh!  Demarques attended Salem Christian Academy, Flossmoor Hills Elementary School, Parker Junior High School and Homewood Flossmoor High School.  Demarques was extremely athletic.  He was proficient in baseball and had fun with football; however, he was untouchable in basketball.  Demarques was competitive on the court and could shoot the lights out!  He lived for those to follow in his footsteps, donning the number 22.

After graduating from Homewood Flossmoor High School, Demarques attended St. Mary's University in Winona, MN on a basketball scholarship.  He later attended Prairie State College where he was one of the most valuable players on the court, taking the basketball team to a winning season.

Demarques was a magnet wherever he went.  His smile, swagger and personality allowed him accessibility to numerous job opportunities.  He was excited about his latest job with LA Fitness as a Sales Associate.  He even called his family and friends with his sales pitch.

Demarques was the most outgoing person you could ever meet; spontaneous was his middle name.  He was the common denominator for several relationships.  Demarques was the mouth piece for many people and he trusted the Lord to take care of him in all circumstances.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, the Lord decided heaven needed DeMarques' bright smile, laughter and jokes more.

DeMarques leaves to cherish his legacy his devoted and dedicated parents; Thomas and Renee Heard; brothers, Thomas, Jr. (Tammy) and DeVante; grandmother, Bernadine Horton; niece, Taylnn, god-father, Kenneth Jone; god-mother, Geraldine Wolfe; many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends; along with his New Faith family and his Brothers 4 Life.
