Denise M. Edmon

Denise Marie Edmon was born on March 6, 1960 to Frank Edmon, Sr. and Mattie Mae Edmon Johnson. She passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Silver Cross Hospital at the age of 58.

She was educated in the Joliet Public School System throughout her early childhood and teenage years. She went on to graduate from Joliet Central High School in 1978. Throughout her adulthood she worked several jobs, including her most favorite when she worked at Salem Village Nursing Home. She married her husband, Darrell Mack in 2001.

Denise enjoyed caring and helping others, being around family and friends while reflecting on memories; as well as music, dancing, cooking and watching movies. She was known for always having a joking personality, creative comebacks and kindhearted quotes in time of need.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Edmon, Sr. and Mattie Mae Edmon Johnson; stepfather, Lester Johnson; sister, Minette Edmon; as well as her mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Ertha Mack.

Denise’s legacy will live on through her husband, Darrell Mack; three children, LaToya (Tori) Edmon, Tabitha (Taba) Edmon, William (Chilli) Bills; fourteen grandchildren Jore’ail, Willie, Lataija, Alize, Samuel, Isiah, Damari, Lyzale, Heaven, Saniyya, Kyren, P’aria, Kai and Princess; four brothers and two sisters Pastor Frank (Beverly) Edmon Jr., Gary (Jimmy) Edmon, Cheryl (Maurice) Gildon, Jeffery (Tonia) Edmon, Patrick (Adrian) Edmon, Lisa Long; sisters and brothers-in-law and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
