Lizzie C. Harris was born July 2, 1916. She was born to Emmett and Iola (Morris) Carson in Ofahoma, Mississippi.
Lizzie was the oldest of nine children. Her siblings; Emmett James, Daisy, Melvin, Dolphus, Johnnie, Roy and two siblings in infancy all preceded her in death.
Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siiblings.
Lizzie attended Greenwood Chapel School in Mississippi. In 1937 Lizzie united in holy matrimony to Tommie Harris in Ofahoma, MS and to this union, two children were born, Willie and Robert Harris.
Lizzie was a strong, loving mother, sister, aunt cousin and friend. She enjoyed cooking and loved to see everyone eat and enjoy. If you came to her house, you had to eat before you left. She loved gardening, raising chickens and other farm animals. She also loved shopping, watching special television programs, reading, and solving word search puzzles.
She passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Joliet, Illinois.
Lizzie leaves to cherish her memories; her sons, Willie (Marilyn) Harris and Robert (Lois) Harris; grandchildren; great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; special nieces, nephews, family, friends and her Brown Chapel church family.
