BRENDA M. TAYLOR, one evening God was strolling through His garden of life, seeking to find a beautiful flower to adorn his majesty. With careful consideration, He chose to make a unique selection. He decided to pick a rare and beautiful flower, a flower symbolizing majesty and splendor; “The Lilac Rose: - Brenda Taylor. Brenda was born on June 29, 1961, to Mrs. Edna K. Brown, in Memphis, TN. Brenda’s father, Willie Boyd Brown preceded her in death in 2008. She was the second of nine children. Brenda moved to Chicago and was educated in the Chicago Pubic Schools. Brenda graduated from Paul Roberson High School and attended some college. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized at New Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Howard Randolph. God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed your loving eyes and whispered “Peace be Thine.” You’re gone from us but lasting memories death can never take. We’ll meet again one day, and I’ll see you smiling, and waiting for me at heaven’s gate. Brenda had a mild mannered temperament and was always a pleasure to be around. Her genuine spirit and infections laugh made everyone she came into contact with instantly drawn to her. She devoted time to helping family. Brenda would make sure she took time out for herself by going stepping, skating and bowling. Brenda passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 Brenda leaves to cherish her loving memories; loving daughter, LaMesha; three grandchildren, Cyera, Mariq and J’mere; god children, Tonie Mchelle Waterway, Tyre Brown and Briasha Brown; five sisters, Patricia Smith (James), Cherie Taylor, Cynthia Mitchell (Vernon), Ernestine Brown-McGhee (Donnie) and Lesley Brown; three brothers, Alfred Brown (Roylietrich, Alexis Brown (Trena preceded in death) and Quentin Brown (Jaydine); loving aunt, Rene Drake; special cousin, Alysia Drake; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a very dear friend, Vicki King.
