Minister Howard T. Pruitt (Tyrone) was born February 14, 1951 to the late Lewis Pruitt Sr. and Mattie Mae McCollum. He departed this life on December 6, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawyer J. McCollum and Charlie Judge. His family knew him as a mild manner loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to share advice, knowledge and a helping hand. When needed he was there, Tyrone was the foundation and rock of his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 42 years, Minister Ester Pruitt; four daughters; Laura Smith (Joliet), Sarah Smith (Texas), Yolanda Smith (Joliet) and Clarissa Smith (Joliet); one son, Mickey Smith (Joliet); six brothers; Johnny Judge (Barbara), Lewis Prewitt Jr. (Vern), Willie F. McCollum (Cynthia), Alfred C. McCollum, Louis W. McCollum (Jeanette) and Willie C. McCollum; seven sisters; Rev. Annie D. Baldwin, Shirley A. McDonald (Billy), Mattie K. Barnes (Ivy), Alice L. Williamson, Mary D. McCollum, Mattie William (Melvin) and Lula White; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives, friends and a special nephew, Rev. Louis Bass.

So very sorry to hear of Howard's passing , I was fortunate enough to work with him for the past 7 months , we had a lot of fun working together and joking around. It was my pleasure getting to know him and becoming friends albeit just for a short time.

He will be missed by us all.
