Charles Robert Hall Sr.

A Life Well Lived (Sir Charles)…….

Charles Robert Hall, Sr., was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 6, 1950, to the union of Hazeland Roxanna Hall.  His parents, four (4) siblings: Carol Hall, Jimmie Lee Brown, Joan Haynes, and Melvin Boozer; and one (1) grandchild: Amiyah all preceded him in death.  

Charles was always a believer and was baptized later in life, by Rev. Dr. Howard Randolph, Pastor of New Faith Church, where he was a member until he was called home to GLORY.

Charles completed his education in the Chicago Public School System.  

Charles worked for the Cook County Sheriff’s Department for many years as part of their janitorial staff.  He later went on to work for Chicago Park District as part of the janitorial staff until his retirement in 2010.

Charles loved to watch wrestling and was a ME Tv guy; his television was always set on that station.  He loved to listen to music and could tell you who the artist was before the song really got going.  One of his favorite artists was James Brown.  Charles was a family man and he kept us all in tears of laughter whenever we would gather/visit with him.

Charles was a funny, kindhearted, loving, and humble soul who loved his FAMILY dearly.  All his nieces and nephews loved him and didn’t mind doing whatever was needed for their UNCLE.

Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Charles was told to Rest on GOD’s servant.  And while he has only been gone a short time from us, we all know that Charles is in Heaven smiling and making everyone laugh as only he could do.  

Charles leaves to cherish HIS memory his four (4) loving children: Rashidia (Ahmad) Thompson; Ariell Hall, Shirley (Michael) Colbert and Charles Robert (Decoria) Hall, Jr.; 19 grandchildren:  Terreon, Tyre’l, Myre’l, Deon’ana, Trey’veon, Da’veon, Rashad, Amarii, Montana, Amaria, Journei, Kimaria, Isiah, Mik’aela, Taylor, Ronnie, Miracle, Aubrey and Kiari; his bonus children; Charlene, Mystic and Alonzo; his loving and devoted siblings:  Janie (JohnLee) Hardy, Hazel Hall, MaryAnn Pendleton and Sharon Carter; one (1) sister-n-law: Gloria Boozer and an abundance of nieces and nephews and other family members.
