Artis "Dwayne" Carpenter

Artis Dwayne Carpenter, affectionately called “Dwayne” was born on January 30, 1967 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Ruby Carpenter and W.C. Ledbetter.

Dwayne attended the Joliet Public School system and graduated from Joliet Central High School.  Dwayne worked for several companies, but most recently was employed as a packer at a local warehouse.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Carpenter and W.C. Ledbetter; one brother, Sherman Carpenter and two nephews, T.J. Morrow, Jr. and Michael Carpenter.

Dwayne departed this life suddenly on Thursday, March 21, 2019. 

He leaves to cherish his memories; one daughter, Kendra Shante’ Dodd; three grandchildren, Malcolm, Jourdan and Mason Hudson, all of Atlanta, Georgia; five sisters, Beverly Jefferson, Linda Carpenter, Deborah Carpenter, Rachelle Carpenter, all of Joliet, IL; and Jennifer Aker of Grand Rapids, MI; two brothers, William Jefferson and Parnell Carpenter, both of Joliet, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
