Danielle Crawford Obituary

Danielle Crawford was born January 1, 1988 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Reginald Terrell and Sharon Crawford.  She passed into eternal rest on Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Danielle spent much of her childhood in Oceanside, California with her grandmother, Mother Martha Henry, who introduced her to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at an early age.  Danielle later moved to Minneapolis and she graduated from South High School with the class of 2005.  True to her nature, even though she was so smart in school, she skipped not one, but two academic grades.  Danielle was also a cheerleader, student council member, hockey player, leader in her church youth group and gospel choir member.  Soon after graduation, Danielle married her high school sweetheart, Alex Welsh and thereafter began her adventurous life.

Those of us know knew Danielle well can confirm that she was a very independent free-spirit who enjoyed traveling, fellowshipping with people from all walks of life, reading all types of books, fiction and non-fiction, and spending time with her friends, family and most of all, her children, Kenny and Reggie.  She had an incredibly sharp mind that was open to exploring all aspects of life, religion, literature, politics and in her short life, she traveled extensively throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and many other places.  Danielle was a true people person, a loving and forgiving spirit, with unconditional acceptance of everyone, regardless of race, religion or personal beliefs.  That was the gift of Danielle to us all and let us honor her by carrying it on!

Danielle leaves to carry on her legacy; her two children, Kenny Draper and Reginald Crawford; her father, Reginald (Mary) Terrell of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sisters, Kiana Duncan of Lafayette, Indiana, Chantea (Ronnie) Irving of Dallas, Texas, Katrina (Quenton) Finney of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Erica Patrick of Pine Island, Minnesota and Kimberly Burnsf San Diego, California; brother, Dante Rhodes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandmother, Mother Martha Henry of Oceanside, California; uncle, Dante Burk of Lafayette, Indiana; special friend, Randy Draper of Lafayette, Indiana and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sharon Crawford; grandfathers, Fletcher Terrell and Kenneth Crawford; and grandmother, Augustine Terrell.
