Born into the legacy of Willie Lee and Barbara Lee Foster (both deceased), was Darrell Gerrard Foster. Darrell was the youngest brother to Brian (Selena) and Vincent (dec.); the bonus brother to Derrick (Sharon), Lazarick (Nancy) and Valencia; and the Brother in Christ to so many more.
Darrell gave his life to Christ at a young age and got fired up for Christ in 2001. Growing up in the church, Darrell was always active in ministry from being an Acolyte at “The Temple of Divine Science” to playing the drums at “Christ Universal Holiness Church, “Fellowship of Love Baumholder Germany” and “Word of Life Church Illinois”. If you knew him, he loved playing the drums. Darrell also loved, writing, singing and performing with his band “Pozitive Exchange”.
Darrell joined the military in 1994 and served honorably until 2003. He served through several Military Campaigns and was what the Army recognized as a “Hooaah Soldier”. While serving, Darrell earned several Army Commendation Medals and military accolades for meritorious service and acts of heroism.
Darrell met his wife Chandra in 1989 and they were married in June 1995. They welcomed their greatest blessing Darriell Alexus, September 1996. Darrell was what his wife called, “The Blue Print” when looking for a husband and father. Darrell took his roles as husband and father seriously and lived out his love for his family daily. Darrell had a passion for his family and friends, if he said you were his brother, his friend, his BMO, his dude or whatever, he meant it and valued your friendship and loved you for real.
Darrell loved his church and church family, World of Life Church (WOLC) Illinois and was the facilitator of the Men’s Group, “Real Talk”. Darrell was also passionate about his band “Pozitive Exchange” and loved all of the members of the group. You could always catch Darrell sharing a Pozitive Exchange with people throughout the day, whether he knew them or not.
