Mrs. Gussie Mae White was born to Charley and Mollie White on February 22, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. She was one of 16 children. Gussie later moved to the North with her children where she met her husband, Billy Wyche and they married in 1977 and later on in life, Gussie moved to Joliet, Illinois where after the death of her husband, she met her life partner, Relbue Burguess, where they started many successful businesses together to provide for their family.
Gussie Mae was a tough woman but had a heart of gold, she gave, helped and loved without a second thought. Gussie was an active member of Original New Paradise Church in Chicago, Illinois up until she moved to Joliet, Illinois.
Gussie was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Mollie White; her sisters, Annabelle, Ruth Orr White and Gloria Henderson; two brothers, Frank White and Olden Butler; her grandson, Tyrone Logan and a great granddaughter.
Gussie leaves to cherish her memories; her eight children, Lisa White, Nat Logan, Elnora Logan, all of Des Moines, Iowa, Leroy Logan and Gary Harrison of Gary, Indiana, Tracy Kay (Sheldon) of Lawrenceville, GA, Lenora Logan of Pekin, IL and Edward Harrison of Davenport, IA; her sisters and brothers, Ida Mae Henderson, Ora Lee Carlton (Melvin), Mollie Bonnie White, Evelyn Jackson Holliman, Lovelee White, all of Davenport, Iowa, Christine Simon (Leroy) of Elgin, IL, Vorla White of Snellville, GA, Darlene Aird (Patrick) of Mason City, IA and Charles White of Houston, Texas. Gussie also leaves to cherish her memories; 23 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
