Isaiah Nelson Obituary

Isaiah Dujuan Nelson was born to Teajay Wrather and Darrin Nelson on December 17, 1996 in Chicago IL. He had one grandmother, Loretta Holmes, one great grandmother Willie Mae Nelson, one aunt, Dominique Thomas and one uncle, Jeremy Thomas, all proceeded him in death.

Isaiah went to Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields IL, and in 2015 Isaiah graduated from Bogan High School located on the south side of Chicago.

Isaiah, although his life was short, he lived his life to its fullest. Growing up as a child Isaiah loved football and he played on a youth football team, The Chargers. Isaiah spent most of his free time writing rhymes and hanging out with his friends. Isaiah was an amazing artist. He was able to look at an object and draw it free hand. Isaiah also did water color paintings and pastel artwork.  Isaiah was very loving, loyal, and hard working. Isaiah had many friends by his side, but nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter, Ivy. From the moment she was born, his focus changed, and Isaiah’s life became dedicated to her.

Isaiah received Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson, IL.

On November 21, 2019, Isaiah departed this life.

Isaiah is survived by his daughter, Ivy Mae Nelson and her mother, Vivian Nilsen. His mother and stepfather, Teajay and Alfred Wrather and his father Darrin Nelson. Isaiah also leaves behind three sisters, Jasmine Nelson (son Joshua Brown), Justice and Desiree Wrather, and one brother, Angel Laureano; two grandmothers, Patricia Nelson and Wanda Thomas and two grandfathers, Thomas Cage and Barry Thomas; four uncles, Robert Holmes, Will Wrather (Ingrid), Bryant and Lavon Thomas; two aunts, Cathy Piedlow and Darniceshia Thornton. In addition, he leaves to mourn his memory a host of extended family and friends.

Since the Lord is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that happens along the way.  Proverbs 20:24
