Jeffery Charles Lindsey was born January 4, 1967 to the late Margie Nell Lindsey and the late Robert Jones. He departed this life on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Kankakee, Illinois.
Jeff was educated in the Lockport School District. Jeff confessed a faith in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop Leonard Rimpson at Fellowship Church.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; four brothers, William “Squirt” Lindsey, Lawrence Moore, Gerald Lindsey and Robert Jones, Jr.; three nephews, Gerrall Jones, Robert D. Jones, Jr. and Gerald T. Lindsey, Jr. and one sister, Sisco McKnight.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Bridget Lynn (nee Holman); five children, Ja’Varis Lindsey, Justin Lindsey, Judon Lindsey, Ja’Vaughna and Jashaughna; six grandchildren; sisters, Elnora (Walter) Massengill, Tambra, Wilma, Robin, Tracey and Deatress Lindsey, all of Joliet, Illinois, Brenda (Henry) Sherman and Lisa Lindsey, both of Kankakee, Illinois; brothers, John (Rowena) Lindsey of Joliet, IL, Robert D. Jones, Sr. of Kankakee, IL and Fabiam Bridges of Studio, CA; special aunt, Addie Wilson; god-brother, Lynn (Darlene) Crosby; aunts, Argerl Moore, Velma Wadell, Emma Moore, all of Joliet, IL, Bobbie (Troy) Arrington, Jessenell Jones, both of Laurel, MS, Mae Lois Evans of Laurel, MS, Mae Ruth Waters of Denver, CO and Leola Lindsey of Joliet, IL; uncles, Milton Hamilton of Lockport, IL, Charles Jones of Joliet, IL, Napoleon (Crystal) Lindsey and Rev. Alexander (Rose) Lindsey, both of Oakland, CA, Milton Turner of Laurel, MS; two step-children, Brittnay and Marquis; special friends, Loretta Morris and Lena Wright; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
