Joe Young

Joe W. Young was born to Emma Lee and Julius Young on August 16, 1947.

He departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Loyola University Medical Center with his children by his side.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Julius Young; three brothers, Eddie Sr., Julius Sr., LG Young and one sister, Grace Young.

Joe’s passion was being around his grandchildren.  He loved spending time with his brother, John Young, talking about the old times.  He loved making people laugh and smile.

He leaves to mourn his wonderful memories; five children, Joe Hinton (Mzisis), TX, Delisia (Charles) Pruitte, Detrease Anderson, Margaret Anderson, Christina Anderson, of Joliet, IL; three sisters, Mildred Campbell, Zora Garrett, Joliet, IL; Georgia Gilliam of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, John Young, Sr. of Joliet, IL and David Young, Sr. of Texarkana, TX; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
