Lashaun Taylor-Muse Obituary

The Beloved La’Shaun Marie Taylor-Muse went to be with the Lord peacefully, at the age of 47, on the morning of April 5, 2019. She was born on the 29th day of July, 1971 at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago Illinois to Gregory Donald and Cherie Taylor. She was the only child maternally; since a young girl She obtained a strong ability to love unconditionally and appreciate Gods’ wonderous works through interacting and playing with animals; She especially loved Her dogs. Early on La’Shaun was equipped and molded into a beautiful woman of God. Since the age of 7, She was baptized and saved. She was raised by Her grandparents Je’Taun M. Taylor and Henry C. Taylor, who proceeded her in death 2013 and 1987. She grew up with Her cousins, Audrey and Nicki President, Kimberly Hicks and Demetrius Donald.

Years later, She relocated to Michigan where She began growing a strong fond of children while building a rapport with people. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and spiritual way. Ever since a young child She knew Her passion was to love, guide, and help children the best She could. La’Shaun had 5 children of Her own. During these times, with the support of Her grandmother, She was able to hold multiple positions in many fields. She was truly a go getter and an economical entrepreneur who, with Her faith and the help of God, was able to provide for Herself and Her family. Many times, La’Shaun fought death and many setbacks in life, but through these troubling times She remained humble, loyal, faithful and committed to God and Her family. She was all about praying and standing strong on Her faith. She always said “Prayer changes things”, “This too shall pass”, and “Speak it into existence”.  She was able to juggle life's obstacles while finishing school and pursing a degree in teaching. In 1997, She landed a career in teaching at Paramount Charter Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan; which She took great pride in. During this time pursing Her teaching career, She met Her now husband, where they conceived Her youngest child. They then married February 14th, 2001.  In 2003, they relocated their family back to Her home town Chicago, IL.

In Chicago, She was able to obtain Her CDL as well as continue Her passion working with children and for the church. Before passing, Her final accomplishment was working on Her autobiography and becoming an Evangelist. Her dream was to open Her own ministry and boarding school for children. La’Shaun was truly something different; nothing short of amazing! She was a kind, loving, giving, and praying Woman! She set Godly morals and principles for us to believe and live by. She was a life that kept on giving.

Although She is gone, She will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on through Her family and individuals She has touched throughout Her life. She leaves here with us today Her husband Ula Thomas Muse, Her parents Cherie J. Taylor and Gregory Donald, Her sister La’Tonya Donald, Her five children, Joyce and Antonio Moore, Charde’ and Chane’ Haynes and Thomeshia Muse, Her two step daughters Mercedes and Desha Kemp, and Her one and only granddaughter Cyriah Adams and an army of family and friends.

La’Shaun has made Her mark, and She has now made it with the Lord. Job well done Our Angel! Our Beloved Jesus Christ We ask You, and we pray that You keep us and shield us as we make it through this difficult journey.. We ask that you help us to live life more abundantly and continue to love and serve You just as she did. Continue to fight for holiness with all your might, spread the Gospel, preach the Word, and keep following the King!
