Reginald M. Harris

Reginald M. Harris was born October 9, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois to Wade Downey and Carrie Harris.  He received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.  Reggie kept his two favorite artists on his play list at all times, Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond which he played on into adulthood.

He received his elementary education in the Bolingbrook School District and completed High School at Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois.  He loved three things immensely; his son, music and family.  If you were his friend, you were family.  He especially enjoyed hanging out with his cousins and making everyone laugh.  Reggie was an only child but everyone’s brother.  He was an encourager and advocate for all.  He always positioned himself as a protector of those he loved.  His big smile and lighthearted spirit will be truly missed.

Reginald departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Aurora, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a loving grandmother, Manda Thigpen; mother, Carrie Harris; father, Wade Downey; two sons, Reginald Prince Harris and Rajon Harris (due in June); a honorary brother, Dante Tolbert; a host of bonus sisters and brothers (all of his cousins); a host of uncles, aunts and many relatives and friends.
