Robert Lee Sandifer was born on February 27, 1943 in Jackson, MS to the late Shelly Sandifer and Irene Johnson.
He was the first of five children born to this union; one brother, Keith, preceded him in death.
Robert confessed his faith in Christ at an early age in Jackson, MS, where he was baptized. On December 24, 1971, Robert and Bobbie Jean were united in Holy matrimony. To this union, two sons were born. They were united in Holy matrimony for the second time on November 30, 2011.
Robert served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on July 23, 1969. He was educated in Jackson, and worked 43 years at Ford Motor Company, Chicago Assembly Plant; he retired in 2007.
On Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 8:33 P.M., Robert entered into eternal rest at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Bobbie Jean; three sons, Craig, Carlos, and Darren; two stepsons, Anthony and Bartholomew; five grandchildren, Ciarra, Nia, DeVante, Jaeda, and Jayden; three brothers, James of Jackson MS; Jerry (Phyllis) of Columbus, OH; and Michael of Chicago, IL; one sister, Christine Price (David) of Bellwood, IL; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
