Robert Earl Tyler, affectionately known as “Rob” was born February 26, 1958 to Eddie Lee Tyler, Jr. and Katherine Tyler in Joliet, Illinois.
Rob accepted Christ at an early age. He knew and loved the Lord. Rob attended the Joliet Public Schools system. He worked for a moving truck company along with Mr. Gavins until he retired. Rob was a very outgoing person who loved his family unconditionally. He was a loving and caring person that knew how to uplift anyone with his amazing sense of humor. To know Rob was to love him; anyone who came into contact with him. He will truly be missed.
Rob was preceded in death by his loving parents; Eddie Lee Tyler, Jr. and Katherine Tyler; maternal grandmother, Bertha White, paternal grandfather, Eddie Lee Pearlie Tyler, Sr.; one son, Daemon Simpson; one sister, Frankie Mae Hollins Frazier; two brothers, Leonard Tyler, Sr. and Cleophus Rent, Jr.; three nieces, Carolyn Hollins, Tonya Frazier and Carla Hollins (2018); and one nephew, Michael Hollins (2018).
He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by family and friends. “The Lord seen you were weary, so he picked you up and carried you along the way; no more pain or suffering. Fly high Rob, you finally got your wings. Sleep in paradise our love.”
Robert leaves to cherish his loving memories; his loving and devoted caring sons, Robert Earl Simpson (Feliciana) of Minooka, IL, Deon Granite; one daughter, Arneda Sullivan of Atlanta, GA; four loving grandchildren, Damirah Inara Simpson, Daemon Jacob McCurtry, Lincoln Rosenthal and Diana Rosenthal; one loving sister, Vorline Moffett of Joliet, IL; one devoted loving brother, Henry Tyler (Debra) of Joliet, IL; sister-in-law, Shelia Rent of Joliet, IL and a host of family and friends.
