Theresa K. Pittman

Theresa Kay Pittman was born on September 3, 1962 to Lesley and Emma Edwards (nee Wilson).  She was called home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2019.

Theresa loved spending time with her family and friends.  With such an infectious laugh, you couldn’t help but have a good time when she was around!  She loved cooking for everyone; she learned how to make her mom’s signature dressing which no one was able to do.  And who couldn’t resist her greens...gone before she put the spoon down.

Theresa was a hard worker, loved by coworkers, managers, and guest alike, and she loved and took pride in every job she had.  But above all, her grandchildren were the key to her heart.  She loved making them laugh with her crazy dance moves, and her own rendition of Tootie Fruity!  Such a beautiful smile and great personality.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Lesley and Emma Edwards; beautiful daughter, Ericka Chavon Pittman; sisters, Doris Edwards, Francis Mae Edwards, and Mae Francis Edwards; brothers, Lesley Edwards Jr., Gerald “Jerry” Edwards, Joe Willie Edwards, and Eugene Edwards.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Pittman; daughter, Tyesha Pittman; two sisters, Maxine (Darian) Caston, and Barbara (Earl) Caston; three brothers, Raymond Edwards, Douglas Edwards, and Donald Ray Edwards; eight grandchildren, Blake Tillery Jr., Isaiah Pittman, Rae’Yvonna Kay Fields, Sanae and Symone Pittman, Tyshawn Fields, Olivia Pittman, and Dennis Pittman III; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a special niece/daughter, Mesha (Kim) Watson.  Last, but not least, her sister/friend to the end, Cindy Herron.
