Wanda Lynn Avent was born September 4, 1964 in Water Valley, MS. She was the eighth of nine children born to the union of Clifton and Margaret Avent.
Wanda made her transition from her home here on earth to her new heavenly home on Saturday, November 23, 2019. She made her decision to unite with New Testament Fellowship Church late in life under the leadership of Pastor James Starks.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Margaret Avent; three brothers, James Harris, Timothy Avent and Huri Avent; three sisters, Linda Townsend, Eva Caldwell and Paula Lucky; two grandchildren, Traveon Shaw and Nevaeh Martinez.
Wanda leaves to cherish her memories; four daughters, Tomeca Denwiddie, Marquita Denwiddie, Jamella Denwiddie and Italy Denwiddie, one brother, Garland (Pamela) Avent; two sisters, Betty Bobo and Rosie Avent; stepfather, L.B. House; a very special and devoted friend, Chester Dantzler; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
