Willie Mae married John H. Williams in 1934.  To their union, nine children were born. They relocated from Grenada, MS to Joliet, IL in 1943.  She and her family joined Mt. Zion Full Gospel Tabernacle, under the leadership of Mother Lucy E. Harvey.  There, she was an active and faithful member until the time of her passing. 


Willie Mae Williams is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sons, Charles H. and Ted S. Williams; daughter, Betty Burton; aunt, Catherine Noel; sister, Essie V. Evans; one granddaughter, and two great grandchildren.


Surviving to cherish her memories are daughters; Rosa Thompson, Isabelle (Wilbert) Rice, Leora (Leodies) Jordan, Thelmon (Eddie) Page, Patricia (Charles) Pickens, and Rita Williams; son-in- law: Claude Burton, 26 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 34 great, great grandchildren; special daughter, Carolyn White and devoted nephews, Leander Black of Marysville, CA and Emanuel Carter; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
