On Thursday afteroon October 15, 1964 to the surprise of Willie and Edna Brown, Alexis was born, but not alone.  Shortly thereafter; three minutes to be exact, Alexis' twin, Alfred was born.

Alexis wed his best friend, Latrena (Wheat) Brown on April 20, 2016 who preceded him in death on March 18, 2017.  Alexis' father, Wille Boyd Brown preceded him in death on November 18, 2009 and sister, Brenda Michelle Taylor also preceded him in death jus short of one year ago on May 5, 2017.

Alexis was affectionately known as Alex.  Alex was educated in the Chicago Public Schools.  Alex graduated from Esmond Elementary and Morgan Park High School.  While in high school, Alex played on the football and baseball teams.

Alex enlisted in the Army from 1984 until 1989.  When Alex first enlisted he was an Airborne Rager; after his job as a ranger, he became a chef and quickly developed a love for cooking. After Alex was discharged from the Army, he reenlisted in the National Guard Reservist.  Alex continued his duties as a chef until he enlisted with the Army Reserve. Alex received his Dental Hygienist Certification, which is what his duties were until his passing.

Through Alex's 35 year career, he was promoted several times.  His most current work was Sgt. 1st Class, Alexis Brown. While concurrently serving his country as a civilian, Alex continued to serve and help people as a Ram Serviceman for United Airlines for 26 years.

Alexis was full of life always making jokes and pranks. As a young man Alex would often spend time drawing in his spare time. Alex was that one person you could count on. If he said he was going to do something, you knew it would be done. Alex often stepped up to the plate when no one else would.  Alex you have truly left your mark on everyone you came in contact with.

Alex passed awy on Thursday, May 8, 2018.

Alex leaves to cherish his loving memries; his mother, Edna K. Brown; five sisters, Patricia (James) Smith, Cherie Taylor, Cynthia (Vernon) Mitchell, Ernestine Brown Mc-Ghee (Donnie) and Lesley Brown; two brothers, his twin, Alfred (Roylietrich) Brown and Quentin (Jaydine) Brown; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; his best friends, Willie Roberts, Mark Carpenter, Greg Reed and Christ Criddle.  Alex had a very special relationship with is mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Royce Bullock.
