Abe Steed Jr.

Abe Steed Jr. was born on March 9, 1961 to Abe Steed Sr. and Lillian Parker in Joliet, Illinois.  Abe attended Joliet Public Schools and he also worked in various labor and trade positions throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Abe Steed Sr.; mother, Lillian Cole; daughter, Lundon Steed; two sisters, Emma McNair and Betty Coleman; nephews, Everett Drane and Edwin Foy.

Abe departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Evette McGrew; son, Tristan Sneed; sisters, Patricia Clay, and Yvonne Reed; brothers, Wayne Hughes (Sandra) and Roosevelt Hughes (Mary); grandchildren, A'onesty Steed, A'Vion Collins, Tristan Steed Jr., and Tyler Steed; aunt, Marzella Youngblood; special first cousin, Gloria Fitts-Dantzler (Kenny); best friends, Jack Crosby, Raymond Allen, Perry Jones and Kenny Baker; special companion, Georgia Hubbard; nieces, nephews cousins and a host of friends also survive.
