Ada Mae Bates

Ada Mae Bates was born on December 6, 1933 to Belle Parker and Eddie Lee Allen in Puckett, Mississippi. She departed this life Thursday, May 21, 2020.

Ada relocated to Joliet, Illinois where she met and married Fredrick B. Bates, of this union six children were born. Ada enjoyed her life as she was surrounded by all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ada joined the Sacred Heart Family and was a faithful member until her passing. She was well liked by many she came in contact with. 

Ada is preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Carolyn Smith; and one granddaughter.

Ada leaves to cherish her legacy: five children, April Bates, Lynnette (Matthew) Autman, Jennifer (Lavon) Green, Doreen (Bedford) Williams and Patrick Bates; 22 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren, as-well-as her beloved dog, Greedy.

Ada will be greatly missed.
