Albert Torran Kelly Sr. was born August 12,1958, to the union of James Kelly Sr. and Ola Bell (nee Rogers) Kelly in Joliet, Illinois. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Whereas his ongoing health care was given for Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) at (The Lakes Nursing Home) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Albert Kelly resided in Oklahoma City in 2013 until his life transition.
Albert affectionately known as (Big Al a.k.a. Fat Albert) received his early education from District 86 Grade School K-8, graduated from Joliet East High School in 1976. Throughout Albert’s school years, he was known for playing his trombone within Joliet Junior High School Grade Band and Joliet East High School Marching Band. After graduating from Joliet East High School, Albert was employed with Commonwealth Edison.
Albert attended Second Baptist Church under the late Pastorates (Rev. Vernon Herron and Rev. Morris H. Smith), where he confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and was Baptized. Albert was very active in Youth Ministry and Church Choir.
Albert was united in marriage to Cheryl (nee Shegog) Kelly in 1980-2000, to this union four children were born, Albert Torran Kelly Jr, Andre’ Thomas Kelly, Aaron Tyrone Kelly and Charin Allyse Kelly.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, James Kelly Sr. and Ola Bell Kelly; paternal grandparents, Albert Sr. and Conswilla Rogers; son, Andre’ Thomas Kelly; sister, Lydia Gholston; aunt, Ruth Hall, aunt and uncle, L B and Lillian Pruitte; uncle, Henry Rogers, uncle, Curtis Rogers and uncle, Albert Jr.
Albert leaves to mourn in his transition; his three children, Albert Torran Kelly Jr., Aaron Tyrone (Jessicca Ape’) Kelly, Charin Allyse Kelly; Stephanie Renee Kelly (Andre Kelly deceased) daughter-in-law; ex-wife, Cheryl Anita (nee Shegog) Kelly; brother, James (Octavia) Kelly; sister, Lillian DeArmon; seven grandchildren, Alana Kelly, Albert Kelly III, Aliyah Kelly, Amodesty Kelly, Clarity Kelly and Epifania Kelly; nephew, James (Connie) Kelly III, Byron (Kristi) Kelly, Angel Brown; niece, Talitha Kelly and Denyale Brown; special aunt, Dorothy Rogers and special sister-in-love, Stephanie Dorn. Albert also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, nieces, family members, and friends.
