Alice Bell Obituary

Alice Marie Bell age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at home with her family by her side.  Alice was born January 19, 1945.  Alice was the seventh of eight children born to Clyde Williams and Virgilee (nee Minor) Williams.

Alice attended Longfellow Elementary School, Washington Junior High School, Joliet Township High School (Central) and Joliet Junior College. Alice is a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.  She was baptized by Rev. Varnado at the early age of fifteen.  Alice loved God, her family and friends and always incorporated people around her to love God and forgive as God forgives us, and continue to pray and to seek God.  Because the greatest thing is love. Alice was a loving wife and mother, the best grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother; a super sister; top notch aunt and a loyal friend.

Alice was a very fun-loving person that would surely tell you what was on her mind.  Alice was a great cook.  She liked to craft and entertain.

Alice's first job was a gift wrapper at Carsons.  She was a secretary at Joliet Township High School (Central) and many of the students mistaken her as a student.  She worked for Argonne National Lab (Atomic Energy) then Alice retired from Caterpillar in 2000 after 31 years.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Bell Sr.; grandson, Jermaine; parents, Clyde and Virgilee Williams; brothers, Walter, Eddie and Clyde.

She is survived by her loving children; Marion Jr. (Monica), Karen (James) and Richard; grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Marion, Malik; with great grandchild; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Bernice Robinson, Erma Hawkins and Joni Williams; brother, Roger Williams; nieces, nephews, cousins, and special cousin, Beydon Bailey.
