Allen J. Parker

Allen James Parker born to Albirdia and Percy Parker in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 22, 1949.

At the age of 11 years, Allen accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Joliet, Illinois.

Allen’s education began at Cottage Grove Grade School in East Chicago Heights, Washington Junior High in Joliet, IL and graduated from Joliet Central High. He attended Joliet Junior College.  Allen started working for Drake & Son Landscaping, Drake & Son School Bus Company as Lead Mechanic until retiring in 2015.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albirdia and Percy Parker; adopted parents, Ersle L. and Charles J. Clarkson; siblings, Perry, Jerry, Terry, Lorenzo, Theodore, Shirley, Barbra, Gary and Maria.

Allen departed this life on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Ford Heights, Illinois.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories; two beautiful daughters, RaShun Parker and Allynia Parker; three granddaughters, Glynnease, Jermiyah, and Janiyah; one grandson, Jermel; great granddaughter, Gabrielle; siblings, Dennis (Joyce), Jamie (Judy), Carrie, Roy, Steve, Twanda, and Cheryl; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
