Andre Lenard Houston was born on March 27, 1970 to the late Joe Lemons, Mary and James Gillespie. God called him home on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
Andre was born in St. Louis, MO. where he accepted Christ at a young age. He then moved to Joliet, IL where he attended public schools. During his lifetime, Andre was an outstanding athlete that led his teams from state to state. A well known leader in his community. One of the first local rap artist out of Joliet, IL and CEO & Founder of Heaven City Records. He took on a fatherly role to his nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.
Andre was an unpaid comedian. His words and lectures “ALWAYZ” kept us going. His strength alone was idolized. A one man army and protector to most.
Andre was preceded in death by his father, Joe Lemons; his mother and stepfather, Mary and James Gillespie; his brothers, Jerry Gillespie, Calvin, David, and Kenneth Houston; “lil bro”, Lionel Loper; grandmother, Catherine Buckingham; “MAMA”, Lillie Mae Harris
Andre leaves the legacy of 11 children Dondre, Eric, Tyrin, Octavia, Mylisa, Jaylen, Mary, Alijah, Anjaea, Koby, and Aayon; eight grandchildren, Aaliyah, Jay, Serenity, Mya, Jiyah, Jayceon, Ava and Jiyre; god-daughter, Leah Hall; sister, Brandi Johnson; brother, Timothy (Crystal) Houston; former wife, Lisa Loper Houston; Aunties, Joanne Hall and Vanessa Buckingham; special mom, Mattie Loper; countless nieces and nephews; special friend, Alexia Alexander .
