Annie Carolyn Moore was born January 10, 1936, in Fosters, Alabama to Alice Robertson and James Calhoun. She peacefully departed this life on Resurrection Sunday, April 17, 2022 around 5:00 PM.
Annie C. accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church until her death.
Annie C. graduated in 1954 from Dry Creek High School Fosters, Alabama.
Annie C. moved to Lockport IL. in 1966 with her uncle, Carnell Robertson.
Annie C. worked hard to care for her children. She was employed at Borse Plastics in Hinsdale, IL as a Quality Control Inspector until they closed. She retired in 2001 from Alden of Naperville where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Annie C. was preceded in death by her loving husband, James R Moore; her mother, Alice Shephard; granddaughter, Chandra Robertson; brother, OC Cooper; three sisters, Ludella Hence, Ophelia Spencer and Barbara Ann Shephard.
Annie C. leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, William (Barbara) Shepherd of Joliet, IL; two sisters, Doris Evans of Dayton, OH and Jimmie R. (George) Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL; six daughters, Jennifer (Arlanis) Smith and Patricia Kent of Joliet, IL, Deborah Vanhorn of Tuscaloosa, AL, Vanessa Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI, Peggie Hudson of Birmingham, AL, Belinda Moore of Heidelberg, MS and Kathie Sears of Las Vegas, NV; three sons, James W. Moore of Chicago, IL, Lester McDonald of Racine, WI and Greg McDonald of Phoenix, AZ; nineteen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a special niece, Sharon L. Cooper; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
