Anthony (Tony) Alexander was born May 12, 1957, the first of three children born in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Bernice and Newberry Alexander, whom both have preceded him in death. Also, his only daughter Lakesha Davis.
Anthony grew up on the Southside of Chicago. Where he attended Yale Elementary School. He also attended and graduated from DuSale High School. He later joined a trade school and majored in construction craft laboring which he was very good at; he could draw a picture of himself better than any camera could take. He loves to play chess and cream anybody. Every summer, he loved being a lifeguard. He loved his family and anyone who came in contact with him. He will give the shirt off his back to a stranger if they needed it.
Anthony found the Lord at an early age, and was peacefully called to be with the Lord on April 17, 2022, while surrounded by his living family and friends. We thank GOD, for the life of our beloved Anthony, and are truly grateful to have been embraced by his kindest, generosity, humor, and love throughout the years.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Walter Lee (Pat) Alexander, sister, Summer (Thomas) Alexander, and his longtime significant love, Elaine Carol Phillips to carry the torch. Anthony also leaves his blended family whom loved him unconditionally to carry his love, Brenda, Bonita, Demone, LakeSha, and Vickey "Dee Dee", Darnella (Trina) Simetra (Princess) and Ursula (Angel); five nieces and two nephews; three great great-nieces and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anthony was an affectionate playful wonderful man and serious when he came down to his business in his own way he was a genius. Anthony also has a host of family and friends whom simply adored him. He was affectionately known as Big Brother, My Darling, and Grand-Daddy.
