Anthony "Spanky" Bernard Carter was born September 12, 1970 in Joliet, Illinois to Willie Bernard Carter and to the late Catherine (Parish) Carter. He was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Anthony "Spanky" graduated from Joliet Central High School Class of 1988. He was employed by DHL Logistic Service before he became suddenly ill. Growing up he played Little League Baseball at Rivals Park in Joliet, Illinois. He was very competitive.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Catherine (Parish) Carter; paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather and several aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his father, Willie Bernard Carter from Sedalia, Missouri; grandmother, Mildred McGee from Joliet, Illinois; 14 children and 12 grandchildren; three siblings; a host of aunts and uncles; special great uncle, James Parish of Milwaukee, WI and a host of other relatives and friends.
