Anthony G. Evans was born August 4, 1964, in Joliet, Illinois to Uller Evans Sr. and Allie (McCullum) Evans. He was the youngest of eight children. Anthony transitioned to eternity on Sunday May 5, 2024 at Parc Nursing Home.

Anthony loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He often baby sat them and prepared them to board the school bus for school. He also would make sure the Parkwood neighbor’s children would board the bus for school as well. He was also a caregiver. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton Sr. He was among many passengers on the Mt. Zion Church bus and traveled to service often. Anthony would accompany the elderly on and off the church bus. After his mother’s health failed, he would take care of her as well. He had a big heart and a love for people. He was affectionately called “Ant” by many and some referred to him as the “shorty.”
