Archaye D'Wan Lee Raine

Archaye D'wan Lee Raine was born November 27, 1987 to Chiquita C. Raine and Eugene Simmonsia Archaye was Chiquita’s eldest child, the first born. Clara Raine, Archaye's grandmother was a very important person in Archaye’s up-bringing. Archaye passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

Archaye attended Joliet Public Schools. He was a good athlete and enjoyed playing basketball and football.

Archaye accepted Christ in 2021 and was baptized at Christ Temple Church in Joliet, Illinois. He was a fun-loving person with heart of gold who didn’t meet many strangers, to know Archaye was to love Archaye. When he entered the room, you were going to know he was there. He would do anything to help someone, he didn’t know the word “NO”!

Archaye is preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Lee Raine; father, Eugene Simmonsia; maternal great grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Archaye leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Chiquita Raine (Michael Davis); loving grandmother, Clara Raine; three loving siblings, Stacey D.L. Pruitte, Dontory A.R. Lewis, Demarre K. Raine-Lewis, and sister/cousin, Ebone T.L. Thorpe; special cousin/brother, Jeremy Butler; grandmother, Joan Simmonsia; aunts, Tonya Simmonsia and Wendy Simmonsia. Archaye was a special uncle to Kamiya Carson-Pruitte, Kahlayja Rent-Pruitte, Jakiyla Rent-Pruitte, Kierston D’hani Raine-Walters; special friend, Marquee “Kee”; special cousins, Autumn Dawson-Raine and Truss Raine; Archaye has a special niece in heaven, Zanarre Donchaye Carson-Pruitte; Archaye also leaves a host of family, cousins and friends.
