Aric J. White II

Aric Jay White II began his life’s journey on December 24, 2002, born in Chicago, IL to Anteria Wilkins and Aric Jay White, Sr.  He was born on Christmas Eve and was a very special Christmas gift, sharing the same birthday as his grandmother Jean. From a baby, he would grow up being affectionately known simply as “AJ”.  Sadly, AJ’s mom and brother passed away when he was just one year old.  Shavounda entered into AJ’s life when he was 4 years old and became his second mother. Two years later, AJ would become Big Brother to his sister, Zuri Winter.

 He became a Hoosier when the family moved to Indiana.  AJ attended Wilbur-Wright Middle School and Munster High School.  During this time, he would meet his best friends Alex, Angel, Alberto, and Aden, and find a special friend in Elizabeth Prifogel.  AJ loved music, cars, and video games.  His favorite video game was Little Big Planet, which he would often still play as an adult.   Musically, he wrote and produced his own music and would perform as JayJayOnMars.

Sadly, his life’s journey was cut short on Monday, May 6, 2024 in a senseless act of violence.

AJ has now been welcomed by those who preceded him in death: Anteria Wilkins (mother), Adyn White (brother); Carolyn Wilkins (maternal grandmother), James and Marjorie White (both paternal great-grandparents); Derrick White (great uncle); Milton Wilkins (great uncle); and Shari White (great aunt)

He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Aric White, Sr; his mother, Shavounda White; his sister, Zuri White; his grandparents: Jerrold (Ruby) White, Jean Cannon, Linda Patterson; his aunts, Jessica White, Janae White, Joy (Torie) Lowe, Lashia Payton, Ericka Metcalf; his uncles, James Mullins, David Wilkins, Clarence Patterson, Brian Metcalf, Marcus Metcalf; his great-aunts, Bernadine White, Maxine White, Linda Harris, Evelyn Boone, Gwendolyn Harris, Gloria Harris, Angela Harris, Monique Harris, Felicia Wilkins, Patsy Baiz, Darlene Bondurant, Phyllis (Bishop) Harvey; his great-uncles, Steven Wilkins, The Harris’: William, Herman, Troy, Jimmy, Tommy, Larry, Anthony, Jerome, and Juan, Huvell Edwards, Allen Edwards, and a host of very special cousins, and friends.
