Artis James Ross

Artis James Ross gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, April 15, 2023.  He was born July 4, 1968 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Arthur J. Hill and Lucille Ross.

Artis confessed his life to Christ at a very young age.  He attended Washington Junior High School and graduated from Joliet West High School.

Artis was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Hill; paternal grandparents, Allie B. Hill and Isom Hill and maternal grandparents, Mattie and Isom Tillmon.

Artis leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Lucille Ross; his children, Ericka Ross of Chandler, AZ, Andreus Ross and Audranna Ross, both of Joliet, IL; sisters, Audra Ross and Mattie Ross, both of Joliet, IL; brothers, Rufus Tillman, Kevin Dixson, both of Joliet, IL and Bruce Campbell of Texas; grandchildren, Amari and Caliyah; special extended family, Shaquille Jones and Destiny Jones of Joliet, IL; special niece, Tiara Blakney of Joliet, IL; special friend, Yolandra Davenport; stepchildren, Tenia, Eboni, Breanna, and Jerry Jr., all of Joliet, IL; best friends, Johnny, Ronny, and Don; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
