Obituary

Avontae E. Baker was born April 13, 1993 in Will County in the City of Joliet to Bishop C. Graham Sr. and Starlet Baker.

He was the sixth child of his father and second child of his mother.  He attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Joliet West High School.

Avontae was employed by Nexus Solutions, working for the company Ryder. He drove semi-trucks for a living.

He departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2022.

His hobbies were: watching basketball, football and being around family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bishop C. Graham Sr., grandparents, Lillian and Wesley Baker, Noonie Graham.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving mother, Starlet Baker; daughters, Promise Baker and Lavaja White; sons, Jayden Rodgers (step son), Avontae Baker Jr.; his siblings, Summer Graham, Rhonda Pruitt, Lalitha Chandler, Micheal Tillman, Bishop Graham Jr. and Jason Graham; nieces and nephews, Javontae and D'Asia Dail; an aunt, Danielle Baker; cousins, Charles Lovett Jr. and Martin Baker.

He was loved by many.
