Bennie Lue Walker born July 22, 1948 of Wisner, LA Age 72. Made her transition to glory on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Bennie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Curtis Walker Jr. Her parents, Robert and Lula Pearl Dail. Her stepmother Alla Mae Dail. Her Daughter, Tanya Marie Anderson. Her siblings Albert Charles Dail and Annie (Dail) McDonald; John Banks Jr.; Virgie (Banks) White; Vivian (Banks) Davis; and Joshua Dail.
Bennie was baptized at a young age, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Joliet Public School system. Bennie relocated to Milwaukee, WI in 1984. She was dedicated to her profession as a primary care aid.
From Bennie’s first union to Isiah Anderson, June 1967, three children were born: Antoinette, Antwon, and Tanya. In July of 1986 she married Leon Curtis Walker. They resided in Milwaukee, WI until his death. Then she relocated back to Joliet, IL. Bennie enjoyed life to the fullest, she loved her family, bowling, roller skating and playing cards and was an avid Cubs fan. Bennie had a loving spirit, and always brought joy to others. She loved being around her family and loved her grandkids with all her heart. Even when her health failed her, it was therapeutic for her to be surrounded by her kids and grandkids.
Bennie Walker leaves in the loving care of the Lord, two children, Antoinette Anderson, and Antwon (Julie) Anderson. Grandchildren; Justin (Shannon) Anderson; Taylor Anderson and Arriana May. Corione, Antwon Jr.; Michael; Amyia and Alaysia Anderson. Great grandchildren McKinzie Ray Anderson and Isaiah Stribling. Siblings; Bobbi (William) Bates; Robert Dail Jr.; Apostle Pearlie Marie Mosley, Juluis (Velma) Dail; Angela (Bryant) Banks; Leynell (Valerie) Dail; Darnell (Christina) Dail. Stepbrothers; Ronald (Marnie) Banks; Michael Banks; Carl (Cindy) Banks; Rickey Banks; Kenneth Banks. Special lifelong friend, Deborah Kay Williams, Alice and Ruth Roper, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
