Bernice Bellamy, age 70, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, Illinois after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bernice was born in Chicago, Illinois to Fannie Mae Booker and Julius Bridges. She was a proud resident of Mendota, Illinois and attended Shawnee Community College. From there, she proceeded to get her degree in computers.
Bernice worked at Cornerstone Service until she retired. She had a love for cooking, fishing, and painting in her spare time.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Mae Booker and Julius Bridges; her sisters Bernadine William and Quanita Pollard; brother, Ricky Booker; granddaughters, Patricia McDonald and Kimberly Neal.
Bernice is survived by one brother, Charles Bridges; four children, Angela Duncan, Larry (Adrienne) Neal, Kimmothy Neal, and April Neal. She also leaves to cherish her memory; 14 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; also her best friend, Lelia Kelly.
