Bessie V. Nobles was born February 22,1947 in Koenton, AL to the union of Elijah and Ruby Traylor, she was the 5th of 8 children. She made her transition peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 23, 2025.
Bessie moved to Illinois in the 50s with her family where she then attended and graduated from the Lockport Township school system.
Bessie accepted Christ at a younger age and continued in her faith. She was a loving Mother with a beautiful Spirit, she opened up her doors to others with no questions asked, she was Known to be that "Fun” auntie to be around and to be around her is to know that a good laugh was coming. Besides helping others she enjoyed going to the casino, putting together her puzzles, watching her favorite TV shows and spending time with family and friends. Bessie truly enjoyed LIVING HER LIFE!!
Bessie worked for community care for some years until she moved to care for her mother. She's been a dedicated volunteer in the Catholic Charities Foster Grandparents program for the past 14 years, where she served at Fairmont Elementary school in Lockport where she was treasured by staff for the cheerful support she provided to the students and was known as "Grandma Bessie".
Bessie is preceded in death by her parents Elijah and Ruby Traylor. Siblings: Mildred Traylor, Doris Johnson, Roy Traylor and Mattie Loper.
Bessie leaves to cherish her memories; her two children William “Billy" Nobles and Katrina Nobles, Special nephew Rubin Johnson. Siblings: Pearl Perry, Linda Traylor and Stanley Traylor. Grandchildren: Roy (Jamari) Nobles and Natrianna Nobles. Jeremy Jones, Shambria, Spencer, Tianna, William III, Bill'Ryka, Armani and Lundon Nobles. Special Cousin Annie Shelby, Special niece Wenda Cartright. Special great-great nephew and niece, QJ and Abryia. A host of great-grandkids, nieces and nephews, family and friends. Two dear friends being Patricia Helm and Annie Pigee.
