Beverly Caldwell

Beverly Ann Caldwell was born June 9, 1968 in Water Valley, Mississippi to J.W. Caldwell and Alice (Gooch) Lucas. She was a resident of Joliet, IL for many years. She passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Amita Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Beverly attended Joliet Public Schools and attained her G.E.D. in 1985. She was a kind, sweet hearted person and worked as a Caregiver for many years. Beverly never married but had four children with Russell Bass, Sr.

Beverly was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fred Moore; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Callie Caldwell; great grandmother, Alice G. Steen; stepfather, Edward Lucas, Sr.; brothers, Kenny Caldwell and infant brother, Ricky Gooch; infant granddaughter, Diamonique Duncan.

Beverly leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory and legacy: three daughters, Tiffany P. Bass (Aaron Harris), Keyonia L. Bass (Jeris Morgan), and Russ’Sheda D. Bass (Scott Allen Jr.); one son, Russell Darnell Bass, Jr. (Brianna Richardson); maternal grand-mother, Dorothy Lee Horton of Water Valley, MS; a host of grandchildren whom she admired very much, from the oldest to the youngest, Bianca Duncan, Jovanni Vazquez-Bass, Amari Johnson, DeMarius Johnson, Jeris Morgan Jr, Sanai and Aerin Harris, Darrius Johnson, Cameron Harris and Raelynn Danielle Bass, and a host of step grandchildren; she also leaves behind one sister, Lisa Caldwell of Dallas, TX; 12 brothers, J.W. Caldwell, Jr., Johnny C. Hervey, Charlie Caldwell, James (Cassandra) Gooch and J.D. Blackburn all of Water Valley, MS, Tyrone Caldwell of Coffeeville, MS, Luther Caldwell, Michael Hervey of Magnolia, AR, J.B. Blackburn of New York, Jacques Blackman of Chicago, IL, Brandon and Jason Pritchard of Iowa; two stepbrothers, Edward of Missouri and Jamain Lucas of Lockport, IL; three stepsisters, Lisa and Carolyn Lucas of Joliet, IL and Brenda Lucas of Kankakee, IL; one special nephew, Frederick Caldwell (Jamie) of Minooka, IL and one special niece, Kena Caldwell of Saginaw, TX; two special aunts, Betty Andrews and Joan Gatson; and other family and friends.
