Bryant Keith Bridges

Bryant Keith Bridges, age 68, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Joliet, Illinois. Born on December 5, 1957, Bryant was a cherished figure in his family and affectionately known as “Papa” by his children and grandchildren.

Bryant graduated from Joliet East High School and soon became a Certified Forklift Driver, a role in which he excelled and became known for his expertise. Over the years, he dedicated himself to training newcomers in the Industrial Warehouse Sector, earning a reputation for his skill and knowledge. Bryant life was marked by a profound love and compassion, particularly towards his children and grandchildren.

Bryant was a devoted member of Redeem Enrichment Ministries, where he found spiritual fulfillment and community. His hobbies included taking his grandchildren to the park, enjoying movies, (especially Marvel and DC) with his grandsons. He enjoyed showcasing his grilling skills at family and neighborhood gathering, always bringing joy and delicious food to those around him.

Bryant life was a testament to the power of dedication, both in his professional achievements and in the love and care he provided to his family.

Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, Wenford and Mozella (Orsborn) Bridges; one brother, Ralph Bridges, and great nephew, Diamante Hinton.

Bryant leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Starlette Gwen, Tysheanna, and his son, Bryant (Deshawn) Bridges; grand- children, D’Taeveon and Timothy Sanders, Kameron Lockhart, Jayla Adams and Makayla Cuevas; siblings Wenford (Carolyn) Bridges, Michael (Augustine) Bridges, Irma Bridges-Williams, and Patricia McElrath; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bryant will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
