Bryant Kendrick Young came into this world on July 29,1979 and returned to his heavenly Father arms September 24,2024 after a courageous battle with heart and kidney disease. Bryant came into this world early to imprint his presence in his family lives. In his earlier years he was always trying to invent ways to start a business to make money which would have been inspiring but not at age 9. Bryant loved to work and earn his own money, beginning with his first job as a newspaper carrier for the Herald News to his last job as a CNA and Office Management. His desire was to finish nursing school and obtain his LPN degree before health issues prevented that. Bryant was a very private person so when he let you in you knew where you stood with him. Bryant was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a graduate of Joliet Central High School and employed at the Pearl of Joliet until his health failed.
Bryant was preceded in death by his father Mitchell Gillam, stepmother Deborah Gillam, his maternal Grandfather Frederick Young Sr., his paternal grandmother Louise Gillam, paternal grandfather William Herod, Aunt Angie Gillam and Uncle Harvey McNair.
He leaves to cherish his imprint on the lives of his mother, Darlean Young; his sister, Latasha Gillam, and brother, Jeremy Gillam of Atlanta, GA., Grandmother June Young; Aunts, Doretha (Albert) Pope of Bowie Maryland, Iris (Randy) Winfrey of Shorewood, IL, Uncle Roderick Young of Joliet, IL Uncle Frederick Young Jr of Colorado and Great-Aunt Ann Palmer of Niagara Falls, NY and a host of cousins and friends. Life will be a much colder place without his presence.
