Carol Sousie

Carol “Casey” Sousie was born on February 8, 1955, in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Carroll Lee Casey and Wanda Lee (Periodore) Casey. The second oldest of Four children, Carol carried a natural sense of responsibility and strength throughout her life. She passed away peacefully in her home on July 3, 2026, surrounded by love.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Cathy, Greta (Casey) Cook, and John Casey; and her son, Scot Aaron Lynn.

She is survived by her children, Candace (Marino) Sanchez and Elmer Lynn III; and by her ten grandchildren: Joshua Lynn, Adrianna Mora, Isabella Mora, Noemi (Austin) Adams, Brandon Sanchez, Eric Sanchez, Brian (Laurel) Johnson, Justin Lynn, and Kaitlynn Lynn, Aiden Lynn. She also leaves behind several great‑grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Carol’s life was defined by resilience, devotion to family, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
