Charles Ahmad Jenkins

Charles Ahmad Jenkins was born March 24, 1991, in Joliet, IL to Angela Morris Travis and Charles A. Jenkins.  Charles Ahmad answered his call and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Charles Ahmad accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church in Joliet, IL under the leadership of Pastor Victor Flowers. While there he sang in the choir, and proudly served as an Usher, he served so faithful and diligently that he was chosen to escort the 1st Lady for the Annual Anniversary for several years. Ahmad attended Joliet and Lockport Public Schools. He enjoyed Baseball, Football, Bowling, Fishing, and spending time with his children and family. Ahmad was very adventurous, he had a sweet genuine spirit and had plenty of love for everyone.

Charles Ahmad, was employed at US Hose Corporation in Romeoville, IL before moving to Connecticut where he was employed at AAJJ Carpet Installers, Inc. He was a Floor Technician, which allowed him to travel from state to state enjoying and exploring life.

Charles Ahmad was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy Morris Sr.; paternal grandparents, Charles Andrew Jenkins and Henrimae Christine Robinson; brothers, Charles Andre and Charles Aaric Jenkins.

Charles Ahmad leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Tyler Ahmad Jenkins, and Christopher Lamar Avery Jenkins; his mother, Angela (Kenneth) Travis; his father Charles A Jenkins (Linda); siblings, Tracy Williams Jr., Kayla Travis, Keliana Travis of Joliet, IL, Darmar (Shawana) Jenkins of Windsor CT, Brandi Wilkerson of  Crestview FL, Raven Jenkins of Houston, TX, Tomeka Green, Kimberly Travis, Jamal Anderson, Jermaine Anderson, of Joliet, IL, Kiana (Akeem) Stanford, Bianca (Curtis) Brown of Dallas TX, Marcus (Adriana) Travis of Stanford AZ, Kenya Travis of Indianapolis, IN., Kenneth Travis of Madison WI., LaToya Johnson of Richton Park, IL, Jeremy (Theresa) Wooten and Ashley Wooten of Bronx, NY; maternal grandmother, Bobbie Morris; five nephews, Tracy Williams III, Jerry Williams, Isiah Williams, Cinque Jenkins and Manasseh Jenkins; four nieces, Aiyanna Jenkins, Traven Williams-Ricketts, Havilah Ricketts and Ahmaja Hardwick; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
