Chassity M. Collins “Chass” was born March 8, 1990 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chass left this earth to enter her heavenly home on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Chassity knew who God was in her life and was a prayer warrior. She attended Joliet Central High School and graduated May 2008 with her diploma.
Chassity was the life of the party; she was always smiling, and she loved her family. Family was important to her. Spending time with her one and only daughter, Janyla, was her life. She fought a good fight and she wanted to be here for her family, but God was ready for His angel. Everyone always gravitated to her smile that could light up the room. Chassity loved to dress to impress.
Chassity was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charley Gray and Sarah Gray; great grandparents, Marshall Glover and Jane Glover, Richard Gray and Fannie Gray; maternal great grandfather, Harry Agnew, Sr. Preceded in death by Wanda Gray (aunt), Richard Gray (uncle).
Chassity leaves her precious memory: her daughter, Ja’Nyla Draper; siblings, Derius, Dejia, Tynea, Gordonay, Geralyn, Keralyn, and Ta’nyia (Gray) parents, Dorothy Collins (Joliet, IL) and Gordon Gray / Shelly Bell (Gonzales, LA), grandparents, Wardell and Margaret Collins (Joliet, IL). Aunts, Tara (Roderick) Jones (Joliet, IL), Tanisha Collins (Joliet, IL), Lakeesha (Frankie) Jones (Baton Rouge, LA), Veronica Gray (Port Allen, LA), Helen Landry (Zachary, LA). Uncles, Wardell (Lasandra) Collins, Jr. (Atlanta, GA), Charles Gray (Gonzales, LA). Nephews: Michael, Sincere, Kacyen and one niece, Treasure. Host of cousins and best friend, Ashli Hite. Special loved ones, Will Pruitte and Tyna Jenkins, and numerous good friends that were by Chassity’ s side.
