Christina ”Puddin” Lee-Darko was born on May 14, 1954 to the late James Lee and Nina Lloyd (Matthew).
Christina resided in Joliet, Illinois all her life. She graduated from Providence Catholic High School. She was a very loving, giving and compassionate woman. She worked many years in nursing homes, helping others. She also worked over 15 years at Cornerstone Services, where she had to resign due to her cancer diagnosis.
Christina Lee Darko was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Joliet, Illinois and was an active member of the Nursing Ministry Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lee, Nina Lloyd (Matthew); son, Leroy Hill, Jr. (Casper); sister, Tina I. Lee; aunt, Christina Richards (Marvin); and uncle, Thomas Terry (Alma).
She passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Christina leaves to cherish her memories; her husband of 11 years, Emmanuel Darko; daughter, Nina Hill; son-in-love, Garry McGhee; granddaughter, Brooklyn Hill; nieces, Emma Edwards and Felisha Lee; nephew, Lester Lee; aunts, Sharon Patten (Joseph) and Delores Braxton; three special ladies she affectionately called daughter, Janet Diaz, Sharita and Charlene Adams; friends for life, Rita Saldana, Bernadine Steele and Linda (Chares) Joachim; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends
