Christine Lunningham

Christine Lunningham, age 76, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on December 12, 2024.

Christine was born on July 28, 1948, in Lockport, Illinois. She later relocated to Joliet, Illinois where she spent over 40 years in the retail industry (with Ames and Menards Department Stores).

She found joy and passion later in life working for the Democratic National Committee as a longtime Democratic precinct committeeperson. She was involved in campaigns both locally and nationally attending many DNC events and volunteering for various functions.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Cremer and Ludie Lunningham, sisters, Anne Parker, Dorothy Lunningham and Signola Drane; and her brothers, Linwood Lunningham and Thomas Christopher Lunningham.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Lunningham of Chantilly, Virginia, sister, Ludie Jean (Bennie) Williams of Austin, Texas and her brother, James Lunningham (Joliet, IL), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
