Clarence Neely was born September 5, 1946 to John Neely and Rosie (nee) Tidwell Neely in Grenada, MS.
He was employed as a Welder with Caterpillar (Joliet, IL) and retired after 33 years of service. Clarence loved fishing and enjoyed watching wrestling.
He is preceded in death by parents, John and Rosie Neely; brothers, James Eddie Wright and Joe Wright.
He departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026 in Joliet, IL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marjorie Neely; one daughter, LaWana Neely of Joliet, IL; grandson, Lawrence Bingham of Joliet, IL; niece and nephew, Jerome (Wanda) Wright and their children; niece, Regina Wright of Sikeston, MO; great nephews, Termaine Wright and children, all of Sikeston, MO; sister-in-law,, Lula Fox and children of Memphis, TN; brother-in-law, James Bridges and children of Seattle, WA, brother-in-law, J.D. McNeal and children of Grenada, MS; cousin, Ann Watson of Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves to cherish his special friends, Linda April of Joliet, IL, Sherfonda Brass of Joliet, IL, Katrina Vincent of Joliet, IL, Denisha Brown of Joliet, IL, Lee Watt of Joliet, IL, Curtis McClain of Joliet, IL and John Payton.
