Clavorn La’var Turner was born December 13, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois to Clavorn D. Turner and Kathy Turner. He was the second child of three siblings. On the night of October 2, 2024, Clavorn transitioned from this earthly life at Trinity Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Clavorn was known for his kind heart. He was affectionately called “Cookie” by his family and friends. His generous spirit and loving personality sparkled like a gem. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and joined New Greater Second M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Howard Randolph. As a young adult, he later joined New Faith M.B. Church.
Clavorn graduated from South Shore Academy High School in 1997. He continued his studies at DeVry University and majored in graphic designs.
Clavorn had a passion for music, his rap name was Cylence. He was the founder of a rap group named Ruthless Ambition (R.A.). His first song recorded in the studio with his group was 7 Full Dayz.
He was employed with The Legacy at Millenium Park, 60 East Monroe, Chicago, Illiois.
Clavorn met and married Jennifer Teal on July 12, 2008. They were blessed with twins, Elijah and Emoni.
Clavorn leaves to cherish his loving memories; his wife, Jennifer; twins, Elijah and Emoni; his parents, Deacon Clavorn D. and Kathy Turner; two brothers, Demetrius (Dorothy) Hardy and Isaiah (Keija) Turner; mother-in-law, Deborah Teal; sister-in-law, Kennethia Teal, all of Chicago, IL and Steven Moore who assisted with the children; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
